Benefits-eligible MIT faculty, staff, and postdocs (associates and fellows), can use up to 15 days of Backup Care (combined Child and Adult/Senior Care) per fiscal year.
Backup child care providers can assist when your routine care arrangements are disrupted. Starting July 1, 2025, Bright Horizons will provide MIT’s backup child care.

The Technology Childcare Centers are administered by the MIT HR Work-Life, which offers MIT affiliates and their families a broad range of resources, including referrals to child care services, information on parental leave, breastfeeding support, parenting consultations, backup child- and adult care services, and assistance with other work-life solutions.
