The Advanced Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, better known as SuperUROP, gives students the research toolkits they need to tackle real-world problems.

Students in the program participate in a year-long research experience and enroll in a related course, 6.UAR (Preparation for Undergraduate Research). Working on a project supervised by an MIT faculty member or researcher, students learn the essentials of research, from how to design an experiment to how write a research paper
