Managing Timelines, Deadlines, & Exploding Offers Panel

Wednesday, April 10
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

45-102

Interview timelines seem to be moving earlier and earlier as companies rush to lock in talented undergraduates or advanced degree candidates. Urgent deadlines, exploding bonuses and perks, and other pressure inducing tactics are also becoming increasingly common. Learn what you, as a candidate, can do to advocate for yourself and keep your options open as you manage multiple hiring processes. Hear from a panel of industry professionals representing companies, Jane Street and Bose in particular, who frown upon these pressure tactics and a CAPD Career Advisor who has experience coaching candidates through the stresses of the hiring process.

Food will be provided at this program.

Panelists from organizations include:

  • Jane Street – Nick Wage, Trader
  • Bose – Sierra Leone Cunningham, Talent Acquisition Coordinator
  • Amazon – Sean Millard, Senior Strategic Recruiter
  • MIT CAPD – Alexis Boyer, Assistant Director, Graduate Student Career Services
Moderator: MIT CAPD – Meredith Pepin, Associate Director, Career Advising & Education

This program is a collaboration between the EECS Alliance and MIT Career Advising & Professional Development (CAPD). For more information or questions, please email CAPD at hiremit@mit.edu.
