Altium Design Lecture with Milwaukee Tool

Milwaukee Tool will host a talk on general PCB design utilizing Altium, followed by a hands-on session for students to create a layout themselves. Students are welcome to come to only the lecture portion or only the hands on portion.
The talk will be focused on the following topics with PCB design
- Brief introduction to schematic capture
- Schematic to PCB translation
- Layout best practices for high current capacity designs
- Layout analysis for high current designs
- General best practices
- Altium built in FEA analysis for quick checks
- Example output from Ansys SIWave for detailed analysis
The hands on session will focus on designing a PCB that is capable of sustaining a continuous 100A load. Any student who would like to attend this will need to bring a laptop with Altium installed and activated.
Food will be served.
