2022-23 EECS Student Award Roundup

This ongoing listing of student-won awards and recognitions is added to all year, beginning in September.

Teresa Gao was named one of the winners of the George J. Mitchell Scholarship’s Class of 2024.

Wengong Jin won the 2022 Dimitris N. Chorafas Prize, from the Chorafas Foundation.

Bharath Kannan won the 2022 Dimitris N. Chorafas Prize, from the Chorafas Foundation.

Yannan Nellie Wu won the Distinguished Artifact Award at the IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Microarchitecture (MICRO 2022), held Oct. 1-5, 2022, alongside her team Po-An Tsai, Angshuman Parashar, Vivienne Sze, and Joel Emer, for “Sparseloop: An Analytical Approach to Sparse Tensor Accelerator Modeling”.

Jonathan Zong was named one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30: Science” for his work designing new interfaces for non-visual data.
