EECS fifth year student, Yu-Hsin Chen has been selected as a 2015 NVIDIA Fellow. “The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program recognizes and supports excellence in GPU computing research in universities worldwide…”. Chen earned his B.S. degree in EECS from National Taiwan University in 2009 and S.M. degree in EECS from MIT in 2013. Chen is continuing in the EECS PhD program under the guidance of Professors Vivienne Sze and Joel Emer. His current research focuses on the implementation of energy-efficient computer vision frameworks, especially for deep learning, to meet the demand of future mobile and energy sensitive platforms.
Yu-Hsin would like to acknowledge both of his advisors for their valuable inputs and guidance which has led to his current success, and also NVIDIA for giving him the honor to receive this fellowship that supports his research work at MIT.
