EECS team wins IEEE 2009 ComSoc Bennett Best Paper Award . . . Full Announcement |
The IEEE Communications Society 2009 William R. Bennett Prize in the Field of Communications Networking was recently awarded to a research team including EECS students and faculty: Sachin Katti, Hariharan Rahul, Prof. Dina Katabi and Prof. Muriel Médard. The paper, titled "XORs in the Air: Practical Wireless Network Coding," appeared in the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, Vol. 16, No. 3, pp. 497–510, June 2008.
The IEEE Communications Society William R. Bennett Prize is given annually to the best original paper published in the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking within the past year. Judging on the basis of quality, originality, utility, timeliness, and clarity of presentation, the Communications Society Awards Committee makes the final selection. A Plaque and honorarium up to $500 for each author (total awards not to exceed $1000) is made to the paper authors.
