Full Announcement

EECS and Laboratory of Information and Decision Systems graduate student Srikanth Jagabathula has just received the Best Student Paper Award at NIPS 2008 for the paper "Inferring rankings under constrained sensing" which he co-authored with EECS professor Devavrat Shah.

The Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems, NIPS, held this year in Vancouver, British Columbia, is the 22nd of what is considered a very competitive conference and viewed by those in machine learning as essentially the equivalent of an archival journal.

Congratulations to Srikanth Jagabathula and Devavrat Shah!
