  • Jing Kong, professor of electrical engineering in the EECS Department at MIT and principal investigator with the Microsystems Technology Laboratories and the Research Lab of Electronics has worked with MIT students and Evelyn Wang, professor in MIT's Mechanical Engineering Department to create a graphene coating for power plant condensers — a step that will improve power plant efficiency 2 to 3 percent and ultimately making a significant dent in global carbon emissions.
