EECS Undergraduate Academic Administrator

UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATOR, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)-Undergraduate Office (UG), to advise on undergraduate student academic administrative matters; collaborate with faculty; advise students; and act as a resource to students, faculty, and staff on program and MIT requirements.  Responsibilities include understanding the rules, regulations, and best practices surrounding Student Disability Services (SDS) accommodations and overseeing the coordination of accommodations; serving as an expert resource and advisor to students on various academic topics such as curriculum questions, degree requirements, and course registration; maintaining databases and providing reports and statistics about all matriculating students; regularly assessing the functions of the office to anticipate potential changes and evaluate staffing needs; and collaborating with Institute offices that are involved in implementing new initiatives.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least three years of academic administration experience; experience in higher education; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; and experience working with complex databases, word-processing software, and content-management systems.  Must be able to work effectively with others at all levels; handle multiple tasks simultaneously; demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail; work independently and as part of a team; and prioritize and problem-solve.  PREFERRED:  master’s degree.  Job #19868-8
