EECS Graduate Student Shireen Warnock has been selected by Texas Instruments for their 2015 TI Graduate Women’s Fellowship for Leadership in Microelectronics. Warnock, who received her SB and MEng degrees from MIT and is currently working towards her PhD in electrical engineering, was recognized for her leadership and performance among researchers in the field of Microelectronics. She has been conducting research in the Microsystems Technology Laboratories since 2011. Her research focuses on dielectric reliability for gallium nitride metal-insulator-semiconductor high electron mobility transistors (MIS-HEMTs) for power applications.
Warnock wishes to express her gratitude to her advisor Professor Jesús del Alamo for his guidance and for giving her the opportunity to work in such an exciting field of study. She also wishes to recognize Jungwoo Joh at Texas Instruments who nominated her for this fellowship and would like to extend her thanks to Dennis Buss and Texas Instruments for their continued support of her research at MIT.
