MIT's Building 20: The Magical Incubator

Story, Anecdote, or Reminiscence

Getting into the First Wave of the New Electronic Enterprise

Glenn Earl Whitham

Building 20 holds many exciting memories for me. My first career position, the opportunity to contribute to new technical developments and designs resulting in production equipment which substantially impacted the war effort. A move to Los Alamos in 1944 which resulted in an early ending of the war. Creating my own company, Atomic Instrument Co. thereby being in the first wave of new electronic enterprise.
