Nelsen Kiang and I were on our way to pick up a heavy instrument. I jumped on the cart to get a free ride. Faster-faster - who did we barrel and miss - Bob Fano on my dissertation committee.

The coffee stain -- someone spilled coffee on the wall on the stairway. It stayed and stayed. I went to Hopkins. It still stayed. I reckon it's still there.
