An undergraduate level course that exposes students to computational aspects of computer-aided design and manufacturing.  Topics include: advanced geometry and appearance representations, physically-based simulation (FEM and advanced rendering), optimization techniques (discrete and continuous), measurement methods (3D scanning, appearance acquisition, mechanical testing), and an overview of fabrication methods with the focus on additive manufacturing (e.g., 3D printing).
