Abstract
The design or architecture of objects depends heavily on the nature of the materials out of which they are fabricated. Java has become one of the materials out of which the digital future is being built. Riding the Java wave has been quite an experience. From a lab project, to an industry phenomenon, to a love affair with developers and a lawsuit with Microsoft, it is unique. This talk will cover an assortment of topics, technical and non, about the evolution of Java: both where it's been and where it's going.
Host: Michael Dertouzos
