FACULTY POSITIONS

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science seeks candidates for faculty positions starting in September 1998. We anticipate openings for several faculty appointments for individuals who are completing, or who have recently completed, a doctorate. In special cases, a senior faculty appointment may be possible. Faculty duties include teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, research, and supervision of theses.

We are looking for candidates with backgrounds and interests in electrical engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, and closely related areas. We have particular interests in communication and computation networks and in interfaces among computation, electronics, biology, and medicine.

All candidates should write to the address below, describing their professional interests and their goals in both teaching and research. Each application should include a curriculum vitae and the names and addresses of three or more references. Additional material, such as papers or technical reports or one letter of reference sent under separate cover, would also be helpful. All candidates should indicate citizenship and, in the case of non-US citizens, describe their visa status. Please respond by February 1, 1998.

Send all applications to:
