MIT Graduate Student Wins Two Year Fellowship from Digital Equipment Corporation

Mr. Matteo Frigo, a graduate student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT, has been awarded a two year fellowship from the Digital Equipment Corporation of Maynard, Massachusetts.

Mr. Frigo was born in Padua, Italy and received his Bachelor’s degree and his PhD from the University of Padua. He entered the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT in September, 1995 and is currently working on a Master of Science degree in the area of High Speed Computing.

Shown below (l to r) are Dr. Samuel Fuller, Corporate Vice President of Digital Equipment Company, Mr. Matteo Frigo, Professor Charles Leisserson and Professor Arvind.

Digital Equipment Corporation has a long history of association with MIT and the Department of Electrical Enginering and Computer Science.
