MIT Graduate Student Wins Full Fellowship from Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Mr. Parry Husbands, a graduate student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT, has been chosen to receive 12 months of support as the first Sun Microsystems Fellow.

Mr. Husbands, a citizen of St. Lucia, W.I., earned his Bachelor of Science degree with High Distinction in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Toronto in June, 1992, where he also received the University College Medal for Best Degree. He entered Graduate School at MIT in September of 1992, and completed his Master of Science degree in September, 1994. Mr. Husbands is currently working on his PhD degree in the area of High Performance Computing. Among his interests are volleyball and tennis.
