DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE
MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
A Director of Development is sought to design and implement fund-raising strategies for the Department's educational and research activities. EECS is MIT's largest department with approximately 14,000 living alumni/ae and 110 faculty with an annual research volume of $45 million. The Director will organize and participate in major gift, capital gift, and other development activities, including a building-fund campaign already underway. Key requirements include: demonstrated success in identifying and cultivating individual, corporate, and foundation donors; experience with major gifts; ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels. A minimum of four years' experience required.
The Director will report to the EECS Department Head and will collaborate with department faculty to define opportunities and approaches for securing gifts from donors. Activities will be coordinated with those of the Assistant Dean for Development in the School of Engineering. Send cover letter, resume, and list of references to: Prof. F. C.
