A Director of Development is sought to organize and lead fund-raising efforts for the Department's educational and research activities. EECS is MIT's largest department with approximately 14,000 living alumni/ae and 110 faculty with an annual research volume of $45 million. The Director will report to the EECS Department Head and will interact extensively with department faculty in defining initiatives and opportunities for raising funds from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Activities will be coordinated with those of the Assistant Dean for Development in the School of Engineering. A minimum of four years experience, including experience with major gifts, is required.
