In the past four years John has been a teaching assistant for 6.071, 6.013,
6.334, 6.012 and 6.101. John is dedicated, friendly and patient and goes out
of his way to help students. He has shown that with effort, dedication and
skill, a teaching assistant can make a difference in the students'
learning process.
DAVID R. SHOEMAKER
David has been a teaching assistant for 6.101, 6.001 and 6.004. In spring term
1994 he taught two recitation sections of 6.004 and received rave reviews
from both students and faculty. David has the combination of
showmanship, personality, and technical insight that
characterize our best teachers.
Harold L. Hazen Award
BABAK AYAZIFAR
Babak won praises from students for his accessibility, dedication,
and enthusiasm. He is self-motivated, clear and thorough
in his teaching. Babak has been a teaching assistant for
the subjects 6.041, 6.343, 6.344, and 6.341.
Carlton E. Tucker Award
JOHN OFORI-TENKORANG
John served as a teaching assistant for a variety of subjects during the last four
years. He was praised for his dedication to students and for his
competence in the subjects he teaches.
Frederick C. Hennie III Award
YONALD CHERY
Yonald was a teaching assistant in 6.111 for three terms. He was praised for his
clarity, patience and understanding when working with his students.
He contributed a great deal to 6.111 by planning ahead of schedule
and making sure that the course ran smoothly.
KENT H. LUNDBERG
Kent has been a teaching assistant for 6.301, 6.302 and 6.331. Kent has impressed
students and faculty with his devotion to teaching and attention to detail.
He assumes the responsibility for continual revisions of the labs
and homework sets.

6.004 Design Contest
Each year 6.004 students are challenged to modify the computer they build
in class and increase its speed. It must execute its original instruction, but
contestants are given a new program on the day of the competition.
