Join us for a pilot version of a new EECS core course on the structure and design of communication systems. Using current communications technologies as examples, we’ll investigate analog and digital signaling, measures of information, the frequency and time domains, physical models of wired and wireless channels. Considering communications networks, we’ll talk about shared access, naming, transport, compression, security and authentication. Best of all, you’ll get to experiment with your own communication components and algorithms in the lab! 4 EDPs.
