Robotics Competition-Friday, Jan. 28

January 27, 2005

Maslab Final Robotics Competition

  • Friday January 28th, 2005
  • MIT Campus, Room 26-100
  • 5:00-5:30pm Open House
  • 5:30-8:30pm Robot Contest

  • Please join us for the fifth annual Maslab Robotics Competition and Exhibition. Maslab is a month-long course in which teams of three to four students build sophisticated robots. Maslab provides a significantly more difficult robotics problem than many other university-level robotics contests. Although students know the general size, shape, and color of the floors and walls, the students do not know the exact layout of the playing field. Maslab robots are completely autonomous, capable of operating, calculating, and planning without human intervention.

Maslab is one of the few robotics contests in the country to use a vision based robotics problem. Admission is free, all ages are welcome, and door prizes will be awarded, including an iRobot Roomba! Come celebrate the ingenious work of the fifteen MasLab, 2005 teams.
