Reif is honored as first holder of Maseeh Professorship

L. Rafael Reif has been named the first holder of the newly established Fariborz Maseeh Professorship of Emerging Technology by Dean of Engineering Thomas L. Magnanti. The professorship is awarded to a School of Engineering faculty member who is exploring one of the School's priority areas in emerging technology. Professor Reif has earned distinction for his work on microelectronics in the emerging area of nano- and micro-technologies, coined "Tiny Technologies." Professor Reif is the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
