These positions are intended for recent PhD recipients who are interested in academic careers and who wish to gain teaching experience while enhancing their research portfolios. Appointments cover two academic years. They will also be members of research groups in one of our interdepartmental laboratories, where they will collaborate with department faculty having related research interests.
The base stipend for these positions is $61,000. This stipend covers the nine-month academic year and may be supplemented during the summer months when research funds are available.
Interested individuals should apply to the address below, describing their professional interests and their goals in both teaching and research. Each application should contain a curriculum vitae, a description of prior teaching experience, and an indication of the subjects the applicant would be interested in teaching. Applications should also include the names of any of our faculty with whom the applicant has discussed his or her plans, and identify any research group with which the applicant may be interested in working. Applicants should arrange to have two letters of recommendation sent to the same address. These letters should address both the candidate’s research and teaching abilities.
