Preparation for and beginning work on the undergraduate advanced project (UAP). Students develop research topics, identify a research supervisor, frame research questions and arguments with respect to project-specific literature and previous work, choose appropriate methodology, and prepare a research proposal for written and oral presentation. Focus on students initiating individual technical contribution, with conventions specific to the chosen field of study. Students engage in extensive written and oral communications exercises.
