This subject qualifies as an Artificial Intelligence and Applications Concentration subject.

Covers advanced topics in mid- and high-level computer vision with a focus on the use of machine learning techniques and applications in graphics and human-computer interface. Covers topics which may include: image representations, texture models, structure-from-motion algorithms, Bayesian techniques, projective geometrey, object recognition, tracking, shape modeling, and image databases. Applications may include face recognition, multimodal interaction, interacive systems, cimematic special effects, and photorealistic rendering. Covers topics complemantary to 6.801/886 and these courses may be taken in sequence. 6.801/866 or some familiarity with low-level vision topcis including image formation, stereo, and motion processing will be presumed.
