We propose the collaborative development of a new course in Statistics with Engineering Applications for students throughout the School of Engineering (SoE). The proposed course will be a rigorous introduction to fundamentals of mathematical statistics motivated by engineering applications and emphasizing the informed use of modern statistical software. The proposed course will be taught at the level of first-year graduate students and will be accessible to advanced undergraduates.
