Muriel Medard wins Edgerton Award

April 28, 2004

The following announcement was made to department members by John Guttag on April 27. Also see the latest Tech Talk/MIT News Office announcement for more information.

Dear Colleagues,

At last week's faculty meeting Muriel Medard was named co-winner of the 2004 Harold E. Edgerton Faculty Achievement Award. The Edgerton Award was established in 1982 to honor junior faculty members "for distinction in research, teaching and service to the MIT community." Those of you who know Muriel, can easily understand why the Institute chose to honor her with this extremely prestigious award.

Please join me in extending your congratulations to Muriel.

John
