Abstract

Satellite communications has evolved significantly since its inception. As systems are built for large numbers of users, multiple access becomes an important part of the overall architecture. This presentation will focus on systems that include mobile users, and some of the advantages and disadvantages associated with CDMA. Depending upon the overall requirements of the system, CDMA may be more or less desirable.
